A certain percentage of curly horses are gaited and do a running walk. Some like Sakary are from Foxtrotting lines and she is 25 % Walker's Prince T, who many gaited curlies trace back to. Sakary also has the special distinction of being microcurled. Her curls are twice as tight as most and some believe this indicates she carries two dominant genes for curls. It looks and feels like a brillo pad and is very unique among curlies. She looks smooth coated in the summer and keeps her mane and tail all year.

Sakary is at the perfect age and training level for purchase. She is light and responsive to ride and loves it. She loves doing anything with people and after my ride on her, hung around to keep us company when she could have gone of to eat with her half brother Texas. A true curly at heart.

At a true 15 hh, she has the size to suit most any rider. She is pictured above with Mary who is over 6 feet tall. As you can see Sakary is quite comfortable visiting or being riden by with strangers. She is UTD on shots worming and farrier work.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sakary in early January, even with -40°c temperatures, I had to ride this rare curly. The Foxtrot was so smooth and comfortable. Mary managed to get a bit of video with much frozen fingers and some of Texas who is also for sale.

Texas and Sakary are located in Point-à-la-Croix, QC. Just across the bridge from Campbellton NB and about 2 hours from the Maine border. It was a five and a half hour journey from Sterling Curlies, but worth the trip to see two outstanding examples of the breed. For more information on Tex or Sakary
