This young gelding displays all the wonderful traits Curly horses are known for and has 40 hours of training under saddle, including work with children. He loves to go out on the trail and has no problem leaving a herd, going out on his own or being left behind. He has started Parelli games.

He has the lovely flashy movement of an Arabian with lots of suspension, but the calm demeanor of a curly, that makes him fun to ride. With his little dished face, he looks just like a Curly Arabian and his pedigree traces back to Nevada Red (Arabian) through Spartacus (Curly sporthorse sire) . He has a gorgeous flaxen mane and tail which he does not shed. He has great curl in the winter and displays a marcel wave in summer. He is UTD on shots worming and farrier work. Who could ask for more?

I had the pleasure of meeting Tex in early January, but with -40°c temperatures, I did not get to ride him. I did manage to get a bit of video of him and ride his half sister Sakary, who is a Gaited MicroCurled mare and is also for sale.

Texas and Sakary are located in Point-à-la-Croix, QC. Just across the bridge from Campbellton NB and about 2 hours from the Maine border. It was a five and a half hour journey from Sterling Curlies, but worth the trip to see two outstanding examples of the breed. For more information on Tex or Sakary
